old tombs of their antiquity -
grandeur, intrigues, iniquities,
hieroglyphics' heroes higher meaning,
charioteers in garments gleaming,
lords and slaves and cities teeming
with populations overwhelming,
kingdoms built, replaced or joined,
empire stone by stone unchallenged spread -
what to do with immortal dead?
why, return them all to mummy.
