Small Wonder / No Wonder

https://scontent-frt3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/20882356_1959594924057008_6604673418515846432_n.jpg?oh=9c35eb08421795e408b4f61d79381c38&oe=5B03798B

Small wonder, that Islam and Socialism see eye to eye on so much.

Each is respectively collectivist by nature and violently totalitarian in actual practice.

Each holds to a utopian vision realized through ultimate, absolute domination by its ideological creed – at all costs and at cost to all those coerced into submission under it.

Each is the diametric opposite of what it by its very name claims to be: the one social, the other peace; in the one case, "everything will be social when communism is attained"; in the other, "peace will be had by all only once they have submitted".

Each is determined to destroy the order it is facing off: freedom of identity, tradition, culture, faith or the denial of it, and of own destiny or determination, own critical thinking and speech – and the right to publish as much – and finally, of diverse opinions contrary to either Islam or Socialism.

Either has proved willing to work together with the other in mutual useful-idiocy, until the point comes – and it always does and it will – when the socialists are confronted with the reality that Islam is far older and more practiced in deception and naked violence, and will have them for breakfast.

No, it is no small wonder, rather it is no wonder at all.

Hurry Shari'a

Bruxelles Manneken Pis.jpg

With the help of so many Gutmenschen,
and the complacency of populations,
there's no hope in EU-rope, scarcely needs mention:
Islamisation and the long-planned death of nations

will take its toll through the onset of New Order –
something we've heard before and then it's forgotten.
With bromides of "Never again!" to remove the last border,
and forge wars to ensure chaos, enforce without pardon

appeasement sans dissent toward "The-Religion-Of-Peace".
Tolerance an ersatz religion of political correctness,
now: curry favor with Qur'anic designs to extend its reach
of a Seventh-Century Bedouin form of clan jurisprudence.

Democracy which had its cradle here and the Enlightenment's fame,
are destined for the kafir's fate, to pay jizza, under Muslim coalition
welcomed through subterfuge, Parliamentsful, to Europe's shame –
but toward our enrichment, this demographic jihad: farewell, native traditons.

Can this be stopped, or is it as inevitable as it is wanted?
A culture which can't get along with itself should get along now with whom?
Arbiter of "peace" seeking always to dominate; supremacist demands unfailingly flaunted:
At this rate, my friends, the prognosis seems certain – civilisation appears to be doomed.

What Peace Is Not

"The-Religion-Of-Peace" being sold us, is not.
And neither is peace "the opposite of war," as that is only a cease-fire or a non-hostile accord; non-hostility is certainly civil, but peace it ain't, rather a civil non-war.

Nor is being nice and getting along comfortably, peace.
Nor is appeasement, nor is it non-action passing for non-violent, nor non-confrontational, nor submitting to more dominant personalities because they dominate.

Peace is not "giving me a break" or avoidance of the unpleasant and disagreeable, nor is it the seeking of these; it is neither a matter of opinion nor is it ever mainstream or politically correct – ever; peace is not wishful thinking, though one may well wish for peace and desire it for others.  It is without arrogance or self-satisfaction in the least, solid without insisting on its solidity.

Peace is:   a state of non-ego, sovereign unto itself.  Politics cannot even approach it, even "balance" does not quite deliver, although there is balance in it.  When Scripture speaks of "the peace which passes all understanding," what Paul meant in this is that peace is without ego – and therefore outside of what the ego can grasp or use or manipulate or fake.  It is not unattainable, just not with ego.  That is what makes it sovereign.

Not with politics, not with appeasement, not with ideology of any kind whatsoever.  Not by falling all over each other to court and crawl before "The-Religion-Of-Peace" and practice greeting one another with "peace" in Arabic.  I once adhered to this notion, we no longer can afford to – one's own language will suffice.  Anyone is quite free to disagree with me on any point, we may argue or not, it doesn't matter.  I am at peace with what I am saying.

Peace is non-ego in action, one responds accordingly without being "the do-er," and leaving the approval or disapproval of others outside the equation.  How one is to come to this, how this is reached, attained, is too obvious to bear mentioning here.

I wish everyone reading this, as likewise myself, peace – the peace which passes all understanding. May healing come.

Empathy

The screams of Islam's victims reach me in the night.
I hear them in the day through the din of normal life,
I hear the cries of children, of boys used as girls,
of girls used as property, and mutilated in their own most sacred...
I hear the weeping of women, and the bleating of God's creatures,
I sense the contempt toward this world's beauty, the stench
of loathing reaches my nostrils, and having no power but in prayer –
I have to bear it.

One hears how stupid Christianity is, how archaic, how weak,
one hears how arrogant the Jews are, how fundamentalist are both;
one hears little of Buddhists, of Hindus, they must have become irrelevant;
of Muslims one hears a great wind and clamor of how discriminated they are,
how misjudged, how maligned, intolerated, how misinterpreted:
one is not allowed to address the sheer lack of empathy
for the victims of Islam, these are denied recognition
as the mainstream sleep-walkers fall over each other – even atheists,
to recognize and fawn upon the "Religion of Peace."

Confrontation is only to be viewed as hostile hatred and vile bigotry,
no one can imagine that confrontation comes from empathy.
But I will say this once, and I'll be saying it again until one more awakens:
Being Human is something truly, deeply divine at its core,
the one question of any consequence being, what defines it, being Human:
it is not defined by power or by wealth, not by poverty or by shame,
it is not decided by ideology at all, or religion, or sexual orientation;
neither politics nor supremacy, nor tyranny nor pitied victimhood,
nor doing-everything-right nor following someone nor being good.

What decides and defines the Human Being is the faculty of empathy.
Real empathy cannot be manipulated, nor faked, nor sentimentalized;
it has the taste of consciousness, it both reflects and is spurred to action,
where action is required after reflection.

I hear much about tolerance and about co-existence, useful cudgels
in the hands of today's molders of NewSpeak, who know nothing,
nothing whatsoever of real empathy.

Some prayers of mine...

May all women everywhere find and assert
their inborn sovereign dignity and power.
May all women everywhere find and assert
their inborn sovereign confidence and grace.
Amen, so be it.

May the living spirit of of The Divine Mother be with all children
everywhere at all times.
May Her lovingkindness and intercession prevail mightily on behalf
of their well-Being, in all situations on all levels.
May all children be well, may all children be happy.
Peace, peace, peace

May this prayer be extended and applied with all power and grace
to the entire Animal Kingdom, that all of Nature's creatures great and small
be blessed and sustained, shielded and protected, cherished,
healed and restored through this prayer;
that all of Nature's creatures, as with all children the world over,
be delivered from the hands of human cruelty into the hands
of human compassion and lovingkindness.
May all of Nature's creatures be well, may all of Nature's creatures be happy.
Peace, peace, peace.

WTF?!

Is not Boko Haram the real face of Islam?
Or are there Muslims intervening,
when mosques fill up five times from
mornings till noon, and on into evening?

Do they ever collect for their purses,
or exercise such faith-muscled intention
to exorcise themselves of these four
                                                    curses:
self-pity, supremacy, misogyny and
                                                   aggression?

I can joke about Jews, I can criticize Christians,
irritate Evangelists, satirize Sikhs, polemicize
Pentecostals, pun on names of every nation,
but it's "offend not the Muslims" for they're on the rise!

These peace-loving Muslims I keep hearing about –
are they there, do they care? Tolerant are they indeed, but of whom?
God knows their hearts, our politicians clearly not
confront Boko Haram or just distance themselves, conceding room?

Sunni and Shi'ite compete in loathing and murder, in scheming
bound hands and feet since the origin of their species; no love
is lost where none there was, "There is no room for God!"
                                                    is what I hear them screaming
from minaret to minaret, region to region, age to age.

Sufism, being of no traceable age
in embodying light, quite conscious'
took on the mantle of Islam, minus the rage –
in order to clean it of its darkness.

I do not have the means, I'm afraid, to deliver, or bring
succor to all who've suffered by this "Islam" – do not
wonder that I sleep with the weight of all their killing
and barbarism, Damascus or Baghdad, in war and prior to it.

How odd, that ISIS carries the name of a goddess they'd abhor,
ask any one of these Jihadis or their wives, they don't know themselves;
puerile hatred of the modern which they use, rejecting all and wanting more –
perhaps reading right to left they see 21st century as 12th.

How odd, that there, among whom Compassionate and Merciful
are repeated in millions of mouths a thousand times daily, one is told;
there, among whom it is said "In Islam there is no compulsion,"
are women whipped, gays hanged, boys raped, children sold;

Christians ousted, churches mocked, no discusssion, bibles burned;
woe to you should you convert to something else, your loathesome
daring will be repaid by those who keep their women interred –
yes, go be Christian and die a martyr by the blood-soaked knife
                                                              of your own family's bosom.

Come let us be tolerant, though, let's all be politically correct now;
let churches in all Muslim lands disappear, and Christians as well;
leave them their patriarchy and let them have a Caliphate, allow
for ever more mosques to be built here, everyone else go to hell.

Let Shari'a come, and see how you like it, it's making inroads –
try on a burqa, ladies, a hijab – you'll love it, there's no compulsion,
so long as there's compliance, your life decided for you by wiser heads;
outwardly chaste, now everyone chaste: no holding hands, dears,
                                                                              that's only for men.

In light of Nigeria, Sudan and Mali, Somalia, Iraq, Iran and Syria –
I have but my craft to put down some lines, and what conclusion
                                                                            can I draw this hour:
only this, let everyone worship as they wish, formulate their faith
                                                                               without hysteria –
let Muslims have Islam in their own Muslim lands; and never
                                                                   give Islam political power!

 (Sunni vs. Shari'a: "My 'God is greater' than your God!")

Breath of Buddha, Breath of Christ

As Christmas Approaches: The Breaths

Friends, readers, browsers: this is to be put to use and it's free. This is nothing new, I put it to practice but am not its originator. This is as old as Buddha and as fresh as your own very next breath, it is for all regardless of what you call your faith, your religion, your ecclectic sortof-sortof, or most valuably: your highest most intimately cherished reality.

And as Christmas approaches I decided this year to put this out there, as it has been received, and in my own manner of presentation – if being Christian (whatever denomination or however you define that) you take this and own it, make it yours – not by reading and thinking about it or having an opinion about it but only by giving it your devoted concentration and following the simple few steps, you will be really fulfilling both the Sermon on the Mount and the Prayer of St. Francis: by letting yourself be made an instrument of service in the most Christian real sense there is. Now do it and I'll shut up:

Sit up straight, whether on a chair (feet flat) or on a mat or rug, however you best do that, back straight but relaxed, neck also. All breathing is through the nose. What you do with your hands is of little matter, mudra or no mudra or hands held or free – just concentrate. Take a few shallow breaths, a few deep ones, some strong then gentle, adjust – consciously adjust your breathing to be long and deep, into the belly and back out, let your focus settle in your chest, just central there, your Heart. Just breathe. You can direct your thoughts better with any of the following, they are only three suggestions of many: Inhale “Toward the One” and exhale “United with All” (meaning all the illuminated souls who are actually leading you in this as we speak) – or, inhale “Christ in me” and exhale “United with All” – or if you're Jewish doing this you can inhale “Ha-Shem Echad,” and exhale “Baruch-Ha-Shem” – whatever works for you.

Now: you have adjusted your breathing and it's long and deep, you should focus your most devoted thought on Whom or on That which you most love – and yes, you are “worthy” of doing this – let the feeling in the center of your chest open to that and receive that. Let into you the presence of your greatest Trust, your greatest Love, let yourself imbibe that, be sourrounded by that, just as the conducting wire (you) inside a glass bulb is surrounded by a generated current and light is produced going outward. Just breathe this way. Let it fill you, in and around you. As this is a Christmas Concentration I'll address it accordingly. Let Jesus abide here, or as it says in Scripture, put on the Mind of Christ, you can even mentally intone Jesus Jesus if it helps – now we can begin.

Refining that breathing, refining like a bare thread coming and going, breathe into yourself all the Love you can draw in from the Universe, from the Cosmos, from the space around you, from so many dimensions, and from the here-now, and in reality. And breathe it out, out, out. Let it be with you, let it be in the room, let it abide, in and out. Whatever else is there with you, family or cares or worries or joys – let all this be of no disturbance, for you are sovereign, let this all be baptized in your breath, as you breathe in and then breathe out all the Love you can muster.

You are a sun, can you visualize that magnificent star up close? That is you, burning, producing such heat and such light – do you not feel your gut loosening and expanding even as you breathe in and out of your Heart (like I told you)? You may be an idiot all day long the rest of the week but right here and right now, you are Being Divine: Who loves ya? Who's with ya? Who'dja invite over to breathe with ya? Spirit is here and real – God's own breath is inside your breath.

Having let all the Love into you and, going out from you, circulate and expand, now continue on by refining still finer and drawing likewise into yourself all the Joy you can bring in, and circulate that through and on out, just as you've been doing. Feel it? It is yours, it is youyeah, you're worthy of it, you're worthy of it – it's not about you anyway, and yet it is entirely you giving yourself to its Doing – there's nothing theoretical here. Either you're with it or you're not.

Let this continue for a few breaths, then refine, refine, draw in finer still, all the Peace you can let in to your limitless capacity – you sun of God you! – you are the very space itself, embodied as you, just breathing! Don't blow it by thinking – you're there, now stay there! As this Peace which passeth understanding is real with you, going out from you, see how all this Love, all this Joy, all this Peace is contained as one breath of Compassion which you allow to expand out with every outgoing breath – it's as though you're no longer even there doing it, just it is there doing you.

Head and Heart are not apart – you direct this toward yourself and toward everything and everyone in the room, and on out through that window into your neighborhood, hovering just long enough to feel it take, and radiating and broadcasting out to the area, the district, the city, the country, the world, the earth, people you know and don't know, people you love and those you don't even like (no ifs ands or buts), people you've hurt or who've done you wrong, Nature: the forests, mountains, the waters of the Earth, the animals and critters, let it go out to wherever it is needed, whether to disaster areas, war zones, slums or crime-concentrated areas – or just to any nameless faceless individuals out there who may desperately need the witnessing touch of your Love and your Joy and your Peace, your Lovingkindness, your Compassion, breathing onto them and into them. Now.

Not my words should dictate how far out this goes or how far in – what you feel, feel it, go with it, trust, trust, trust.

And what now? Just breathe and breathe and be with it – feel feel feel: you are All-One but not alone.

(Just to give yourself a kick in the seat to get going on it, here are two unmistakably suitable reads:)

"Getting Religion"

Religion is a cultural attempt to approach God, to approach the Divine, to approach Soul. That is all it is, and to confuse it with either of these is like confusing an image with the thing being imaged, or da Vinci's "Last Supper" with Christ himself. There are those who argue for religion and never get this, and there are those who argue against religion and
never get this. I'm for Religion, so I'll address this.

Soul doesn't evolve really, for it's already eternal, but mind evolves, culture evolves, so
religion evolves as well. One would hope. Any religion, whatever the culture or geographical placement or history, which does not view the mere notion of slavery and holding slaves as unthinkable, and its practice as the antithesis of its own Teaching, has not yet arrived at being rightly called Religion. Any religion which foments bigotry, supremacy over others, strife and violence – even while, or especially while, lulling its apologists or its target audience with phrases like "peace" and "peaceful" - cannot rightly be said to have evolved to being a Religion.

Any religion which has failed to teach, to demonstrate and to get across to all hearers, from the most simple person to the most sophisticated thinker: that God is Love, that Soul is nothing but That; that Religion, if it is worth its salt, draws us toward and binds us to that very Love, embracing all souls, seeing ourselves in all embodied sentient Beings – with whichever cultural phrasing one cloaks this – arousing in each more empathy, more lovingkindness, more compassion, and out of this: more wisdom - any religion which has failed to do this has not evolved to the place of being Religion.

Some will find this redundant, or offensive or silly. Do I care? I'm concerned only with
conforming my life and breath to what I just asserted. So wherever this shoe fits, let it be worn.

Yoga For Jews, or: Karuna Is Also Kosher

Ha-Shem breathing concentration:

For all those linear, mono-dimensional Jews who think Jewish has nothing esoteric in it; and for all those Kabbalah-freaks or wannabes who either let themselves be convinced that complexity is a path to God-experience or else run around selling some watered-down Kabbalah so they can sound smart – this could be for you. You may have never touched a Talmud, a Torah, a Mishna or Gemorra, never heard of Zohar, never eaten kosher or kissed a mezzuzeh, never worn talit or t'fillin - you can do this, no problem.  Or if you have done all these things, you can still do this, it won't hurt you.  But if you don't like direct alternatives, fine, enjoy being complicated or materialist, or both. You don't want to take a boat? So swim. You don't want to take a car? So walk. But if you want something real that you can carry into the world with you and make paradise there where you stand, where others can get a hit, a taste, of God's most loving Presence here-now and in reality – then this just might be for you.

Considering the Absolute, taking as a metaphor all the immeasurable vastness of Space, transcending all time and distance, knowing that while you may not comprehend God, God certainly comprehends you - and letting yourself feel it - now address this, your Noble Lord and Cherisher, the Light of your own Origin, so:

With Ha-Shem Echad draw all of this in, from the center of your crown, on the in-breath, drawing, drawing: your breathing long and fine like a thread, through your nostrils down into your heart and your belly and genitals, sending it out through your limbs but holding it central in your heart region and belly. You are drawing on The Unity of Being, on The Source, on The Light within that very breath, letting it circulate. And with it: ha-Shem echad.

Holding that breath, or rather: letting it be held, there in the center of your person, in the chest and belly, heart and hara, glowing, expanding. Inwardly see the blinding sun, for which the sun up there is but a metaphor. Don't strain the brain or the lungs, don't try to do or to control anything, rather let it "do you".

And having held that for just but a scarce moment, let the out-breath proceed with Baruch Ha-Shem releasing up and through that breath passage and out the nostrils, gently, naturally measured. And using the same concentrated visualization – just as will has no impulse without concentrated feeling – let that outgoing baruch ha-Shem really, actually, tangibly radiate as love, through your very pores, through your hands and your feet, out your back, out your chest, 360 degrees, through your eyes, let it expand out, out, out, limitlessly back into the Cosmos and touching all of Creation therewith. Not theoretically, but really. It's not "you doing" it, it is being-done, and with and through you, as you are willingly devoting yourself to this action, this very creative, humble little action.

If you can believe this is being done, that this is happening, then that is faith, you have a faith to build on, you're cooking on the Big Burner.

Practicing this, opening to, Being, sending, drawing in the Oneness of All, blessing the earth with this nefesh, this breath of consciously unconditional love, then of unreasonable, illogical joy, then of peace – not cease-fire, not opposite-of-war, also not graveyard-still – but living, pulsating, symphonic and mind-blowingly of the full I-Am-ness: peace.

Being Jewish like this, you'll never be arrogant like you were, nor self-conscious like you were. And all your family ancestors can finally give it a rest, and your future generations get an endowment better than putting your name up on another hospital. Hey – now you are no longer part of the problem, you're part of the solution, you're healing the planet! And the great thing is, you don't even have to graduate medical school!

So - now you embody the Six-Pointed Star in your own form:  or, "as above, so below."  A real Magen-David now, that's what you are.

Show Me An Islam

Show me an Islam without any designs on world domination,
or on political domination over any land or people,
an Islam which would gladly take its place honorably
among all other religions, those with visible Scripture and without,
whatever form their service or house of worship.

Show me an Islam which so much as embraces and celebrates
its co-existence with variety in faith - with Alawite, Baha'i, with Copt and with Sikh.

Show me an Islam free of Sunni and Shi'a,
allowing for freedom from Shari'a,
an Islam free of every form of girl-mutilation,
of forced marriage or even arranged ones,
of any coercion or manipulation or intrigue,
an Islam entirely free of Hijab and Burqa.

An Islam show me, where countless churches and synagogues and temples
are happily frequented among the mosques,
and the spirit of intelligent appreciation reigns.

Show me an Islam of joy, rather than of gloating,
one which unmistakeably demonstrates God's unconditional love -
and leaves pork and politics out of the equation.

Show me an Islam with a sense of humor,
a mature capacity for reflection, for self-criticism,
an Islam which doesn't foment strife and division -
while claiming to preach peace and harmony!
Not an Islam without teeth, but without the thorns.

This would be something closer to the Islam whose
intimacy I have in-joyed for four decades,
the Islam of dervishes, who foment joy and not jihad,
for they belong to God whom they know, and no ideology.

That would be an Islam I could really live with, and welcome.
The Islam we have, I have to live with, but need not welcome.
