Whom I Call Lord

http://hanumandassblog.com/ramcharitmanas-69-how-can-a-human-be-god/

Whom I call Lord, is gracious, merciful, compassionate –
demanding of me but this, imbuing me with the same:
toward myself, toward others, toward all.

Whom I call Lord calls none by the name infidel, nor unbeliever, nor apostate –
only: My child. Demands no shunning nor enmity toward anyone, nor murder.
Rewards simplicity and love with more love, and inspiration to serve and to remember.

Whom I call Lord moves me to take a position or to leave it, but consciously;
and if it is an unpopular position which calls for confrontation, to take it and trust;
to follow my heart's prompting in movement or repose, even should it merit conflict.

Whom I call Lord will preserve my sincerity, restore my dignity, increase my faith,
and make me fearless, provided I hold and cherish these in my heart, on every breath.
Assures me of sovereignty over myself, and over none other.

Whom I call Lord is enormous beyond measure, fabulous beyond words,
wondrous in beauty and in wisdom, Source of my existence, my ever-present destiny;
subtle as my kitty's whisker or a baby's cooing whisper.

A Personal Prayer for the Times

O my Noble Lord and Cherisher!

Preserve my sincerity, restore my dignity,

increase my faith, and make me fearless.

Bless me with the grace

to rightly perceive, firmly confront,

and compassionately creatively constructively

prevail over all forms of tyranny and aggression and abuse,

whenever and wherever I am witness to it,

in defense of the defenseless, the innocent, and the truth.

Amen.

Benediction

In the Name of the sacred chain of Illuminated Souls
who hold together the worlds:
May the Living God be with you now and always -
here-now and in reality, as in eternity.
May He, your Noble Lord and Cherisher, preserve your sincerity,
restore your dignity, increase your faith,
and make you fearless.
May the power of His Name abide with you.
May your joy be full and gratitude be your portion.
May you be moved and guided to find and assert
your inborn sovereign dignity and power,
your inborn sovereign confidence and grace.
And may His light ever shine within your heart,
even as you shine within mine.
Amen.

Kindness

Sincerity, Kindness and Basic Consideration
for Others as for Myself:
has nothing to do with "being nice".

Actually it is a carefully practiced,
radical doctrine of guerilla warfare
against a world-wide mentality
of respectable mediocrity and inertia,
insidious barbarism, and redundant cruelty.
